Earth

Earth is a planet in Midgard on which most of the Thorgal series takes place. It is much the same in geography and history as the Earth we know, but there are differences. One of these is the existence of a highly developed nation known as the People of the Stars in the kingdom Atlantis 12,000 years from when Thorgal takes place. The kingdom was wiped out in a great cataclysm, but a handful of the People of the Stars managed to flee to another planet similar to Earth. They returned to Earth after 120 centuries to resettle, but discovered that the planet was now occupied by tribes and creatures of all kinds, including the Vikings, gods, dwarves, giants, the Chaams the Xinjins and many others.
